The CS6500 series offers high-performance Layer 3 wireframe switches that offer an extensive routing array of up to 128,000 entries shared between IPv4 and IPv6.
RIP, OSPF, and BGP provide dynamic routing by exchanging route information with other Layer 3 switches and routers so they can be deployed at scale.
The CS6500 series is equipped with a wide range of Protocol Independent Multicast functions (including PIM-DM, PIM-SM, PIM-SSM) for stable IPTV service delivery.

40/100 GIGABIT PORTS
The CS6500 series offers up to 32 100 Gigabit ports that can work as a redundant link working with various ring protection features, effectively increasing network scalability and performance.
With the ability to split streams on QSFP+ and QSFP28 ports, the devices in this series allow transmission of 4x 10Gb to each QSFP port or 4x 25Gb each 100Gb port
